6, 7, 8...and counting

Sam is getting to be a mover these days and with that keeping me very busy. So we're combining a few updates. Since I'm obviously behind the updates are kind of brief. But really, who reads these things besides grandparents who really just want the pictures :) And our computer had a little near death experience this month (thank goodness for Apple Care that gives us new hard drives and screens for free) so the latest pictures are from October. I promise to download the two memory cards of pictures and post more recent pictures soon[ish] in addition to the Christmas letter that actually went out BEFORE Christmas :)

6 months:

  • Rolls over to get to his toys, Mushu's tail, etc.
  • Not a fan of shots, but still a trooper and only cries during the actual shot and quickly recovers
  • Tried rice cereal for his half-birthday...doesn't like it or any other solids
  • Sits on his own

7 months:

  • Turns in circles on his belly
  • Discovered that plain or vanilla yogurt are yummy and now will try other foods as well
  • Prefers the name brand veggies over mom's homemade variety (I'd be hurt, but it's less work for me, so I'll get over it).
  • Is obsessed with his shoes

8 months:

  • Is discovering the joys of crawling. He's gone from a funny little breakdancing inchworm move to the more traditional crawling and is quickly gaining speed. Nothing gets him moving like the sight of Mushu's tennis balls!
  • Has returned to his bottomless pit days and decided that sleeping 7-8 was spoiling his Mom and 5 is a more appropriate wake-up time.
  • Really is the cutest baby in the world, and lights up the room with his smiles.
